Bike Rodeo is on Tuesday, September 8
Calling all 3rd graders and any 4th or 5th grade students who are new to Elm or haven’t completed the Bike Rodeo yet!
If your child plans to ride their bike to and from school, this is an important and required safety course to complete. Students will:
- Learn the rules of road and bike safety
- Have their bike checked
- Register their bike with the Hinsdale Police Department (for Hinsdale residents only)
- Complete a road test
- Earn their bicycle license, which is required to bike to school

Located on the blacktop near the Elm playground
Students must be registered in advance. If your child is signed up, their teacher will receive the participant list and direct them to the school blacktop after dismissal.
Please bring your child’s bike and helmet to school before dismissal and make sure they watch the two bike safety videos below before the event. A parent, guardian, nanny or babysitter must be present for the student to participate.
Registration closes Sunday, September 6.
